Step 1: Visit the Marinade App

Step 2: Connect Your Wallet

  • Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner of the screen and choose your preferred wallet provider. When prompted, approve the connection by clicking Connect.

Step 3: Stake Your SOL

  • Click on the Stake SOL option.

  • Select the preferred staking type and reward type. (The default staking type is Native Staking and Rewards in SOL.)

    • If you wish to choose a different staking or reward type, click the settings icon and you will be able to change the stake settings.

  • Enter the amount of SOL you want to stake, click the Stake button, and approve the transaction in your wallet.

    • You must stake at least 1.0023 SOL.

⚠️ Note: Solana charges ~0.003 SOL for creating a token account for the first time. This is a blockchain-level fee, not charged by Marinade.

Step 3B: Migrate Stake (for existing LST stakers)

If you’re already using liquid staking, you can migrate your stake to Marinade. This allows your SOL to be delegated across a diversified set of validators instead of a single one.

  • Select the external LST positions you wish to migrate, then stake them with Marinade.

Step 4: Staking Confirmation

Congratulations! Your SOL is now staked!

  • For Liquid staking users: You will see mSOL in your wallet immediately. You can hold it or use it in DeFi across the Solana ecosystem.
