MNDE staking rewards go to wallets that stake MNDE and take part in governance. You are eligible if you meet both of these:
You have MNDE staked on the Marinade governance page. Rewards are based on your staked balance, not on MNDE sitting in your wallet.
You have cast at least one governance vote in the past 12 months.
If you meet both, you share each payout with every other eligible wallet, in proportion to your staked MNDE.
Where These Rewards Come From
These rewards come from the MNDE Staking Rewards Program, approved by the DAO in MIP-22.
Under MIP-22, 10% of Marinade protocol revenue is used to buy MNDE on the open market. That MNDE is then distributed each quarter to eligible MNDE stakers. You can follow the buybacks on chain at BBaQsiRo744NAYaqL3nKRfgeJayoqVicEQsEnLpfsJ6x.
This program is separate from the earlier MIP-12 Migrate Campaign and MIP-13 Active Staking Rewards, which are now closed.
How Your Reward Is Calculated
Your staked balance is recorded through daily snapshots. Your reward is based on your average staked balance over the period, not the amount you hold on a single day. Staking more for the whole period raises your share. Unstaking part of it during the period lowers it.
Rewards are paid out each quarter. The first claim covers Q3 2026 (July to September).
When and How to Claim
Claims open on 1 October 2026 and run until 1 April 2027.
Open the MNDE claim page.
Connect the same wallet you staked MNDE with. Rewards are tied to that wallet.
If you are eligible, your reward amount is shown. Click claim and approve the transaction in your wallet.
Keep a little SOL in the wallet to pay the network fee.
If You Do Not See a Reward
Check these in order:
Wrong wallet. Connect the wallet that holds the staked MNDE.
No vote in the past 12 months. Without at least one vote in that time, the wallet is not eligible for that payout.
MNDE was not staked on the governance page. MNDE held in a wallet, or on an exchange, does not earn rewards. See Stake MNDE on Governance Page.
You staked very recently. Rewards follow your average balance over the period, so a stake made late in the period earns only a small reward.
FAQ
Q: How often do I need to vote?
A: Each quarter's payout checks for at least one vote on an MNDE community proposal in the 12 months before that quarter ends. For Q3 2026, that is any vote between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026. The window moves forward every quarter, so voting regularly is the easiest way to make sure you never miss a payout.
Q: Do I need to claim straight away?
A: No. You can claim any time while the claim period is open, which is until 1 April 2027.
Q: Can I restake the MNDE I claim?
A: Yes. Once it is in your wallet you can stake it again on the governance page.
Q: Does unstaking MNDE before the claim date remove my reward?
A: No. Your Q3 reward is already calculated from your staked balance over July to September, so unstaking now does not change it. Unstaking lowers what you earn in future quarters.
Q: I am eligible but the claim fails. What now?
A: Make sure the connected wallet is the one that staked, and that it holds a little SOL for the network fee. If it still fails, contact us with your wallet address and a screenshot of the error.
