Marinade Select is a curated staking option that delegates your SOL to a vetted set of community-recognized validators. These validators meet strict criteria for performance, compliance, and decentralization.
Your SOL stays in Solana stake accounts owned by your own wallet, exactly as with Marinade Native. Only you can withdraw it.
Can I stake to Marinade Select right now?
Not at the moment. Staking to Select is temporarily unavailable in the app while we make improvements to it.
If you already have a Select position, nothing changes. It keeps earning rewards, it stays in your own stake accounts, you can still add to it, and you can unstake at any time.
To stake new SOL today, use Marinade Native.
How is Select different from Marinade Native?
Marinade Native delegates across Marinade's full validator set through the Stake Auction Marketplace, where validators compete for stake. Marinade Select delegates to a smaller, vetted, invite-only group instead. Both keep your SOL in stake accounts you own.
Because the two use different validator sets, they show different APYs. Neither is a fixed rate: both track Solana's on-chain staking rewards, which change every epoch. See What APY Does Marinade Pay?
What does Marinade Select cost?
Nothing to deposit and nothing ongoing.
Deposit fee: None
Ongoing fee: None. Marinade does not take a performance fee on Select staking rewards.
Delayed unstake: Free
Instant unstake: 0.10% to 0.40%, set by the market
Select validators contribute to Marinade through their bond agreement. That is a validator-side cost and is not deducted from your rewards. See What Fees Does Marinade Charge?
Can I choose which token my Select rewards are paid in?
No. Reward token switching is available for Marinade Native positions only. Select rewards are paid in SOL.
Does the staking rewards report cover Select?
Yes. Marinade Select positions are included in the rewards report you can export from the app.
How do I unstake from Select?
The same way as any other Marinade position. Delayed unstake is free and takes about one epoch. Instant unstake is available at the market rate. See Unstake Your Marinade SOL Position.
