"Something Broke on Our End" Error

Seeing "Something broke on our end" on Marinade? It's usually a browser extension or ad blocker. Here's how to fix it in a few steps.

This error usually means a browser extension is blocking part of the Marinade app from loading. Ad blockers, privacy blockers, and script blockers are the most common culprits, since they sometimes prevent the app's components from connecting properly.

The good news: this is fixable in a few steps from your end.

Why This Happens

Marinade's app loads several scripts and connections in the background. Some browser extensions (ad blockers, privacy tools, script blockers) treat these as something to block, which stops the page from loading correctly and triggers the error.

How to Fix It

  1. Disable your browser extensions, especially ad blockers and privacy or script blockers. Common ones include uBlock Origin, AdBlock, AdGuard, Privacy Badger, Ghostery, and Brave Shields.

  2. Refresh the page. A hard refresh works best: Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac.

  3. Re-enable your extensions once the app loads. The app should keep working normally after the initial load.

If the Error Continues

Try these in order:

  1. Open the app in a private or incognito window. Extensions are usually disabled there by default, which helps confirm whether an extension is the cause.

  2. Try a different browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, etc.).

  3. Clear your browser cache and reload.
