Existing Marinade positions do not automatically switch to USDG rewards.
Here’s how it works:
If you currently use mSOL (liquid staking) or standard native staking, those positions will continue working as they do now, paying rewards in SOL terms (or via mSOL appreciation).
The USDG strategy is a separate configuration that you must opt into.
To use it:
Open the Stake tab and select USDG strategy in the Marinade app.
Create a new position by staking some amount of SOL into that strategy.
If you want to fully transition:
Unstake or adjust your older positions,
Then restake that SOL into the USDG strategy, taking into account any cooldown times or fees.
This gives you flexibility to:
Keep some SOL in traditional Marinade staking, and
Allocate another portion into the USDG strategy, depending on your risk and reward preferences.
