What Are the Recipe Payout Tokens?

What you actually receive for each Marinade Recipes payout token, and who issues it.

Written by Johnny

Marinade Recipes (Customized Rewards) pay your staking rewards in a token of your choice. For some assets you receive a tokenized version rather than the native asset, so this page lists what actually lands in your wallet and who issues it.

Stablecoins

  • USDG (Global Dollar), a USD-pegged stablecoin issued by Paxos Digital Singapore, part of the Global Dollar Network

  • USDC (USD Coin), issued by Circle

  • USDT (Tether), issued by Tether

  • EURC (Euro Coin), a euro-pegged stablecoin issued by Circle

Major Crypto

  • BTC pays out as cbBTC, a Bitcoin-backed token from Coinbase

  • ETH pays out as WETH, Wormhole-bridged

  • MNDE, Marinade's governance token

Tokenized Gold

  • GOLD pays out as Tether Gold (XAU₮), issued by Tether

Tokenized Equities

  • SPY pays out as SPYx, a tokenized S&P 500 ETF from Backed (xStocks)

  • NVDA pays out as NVDAx, tokenized Nvidia stock from Backed (xStocks)

  • SPCX pays out as SPCX, tokenized SpaceX stock from Backpack Securities

More payout tokens are added over time. For the current, complete list see the Marinade Recipes product page.

Good to Know

  • Every payout token arrives as a standard SPL token in your Solana wallet, so you can hold, send, trade, or use it in any protocol that supports it.

  • These tokens are issued by third parties, not by Marinade. Each carries its issuer's own trust model, and some can be paused or frozen by the issuer, which would pause reward delivery in that token until the pause is lifted. None of this affects your SOL principal.

  • Some tokens carry issuer restrictions. Tokenized equities such as SPYx and NVDAx are generally available only to non-U.S. persons.

  • Your wallet needs an open token account for whichever token you pick, or payouts pause.

  • For reserve, regulation, and redemption details, always refer to the issuer directly, for example Paxos / Global Dollar Network for USDG.
